Man, that's cliche. It's true though, isn't it? The story. I am deeply and truly a romantic. Crayon flecks under fingernails. A quick grin. Wonder and nervousness. A hug and birds flying overhead. Anticipation - a reflective speech - moments that connect and transcend.

I'm a nature-lover, explorer, mom of two wild little boys + rescue hounds, military spouse, educator, naturalist, history buff, live-music junkie, creator and feeler. Photography has been a creative outlet of mine for ages - a way to highlight beauty in the simple stuff - a way to document life as it unfolds. I can't wait to capture the beauty of yours.

For Mother’s Day, my daughters gifted me a family photo session with Ashton. We had THE BEST experience with her! We are a big family…three generations including 3 grandchildren under three. Ashton was fantastic - she’s patient, creative and engaging. She put us all at ease immediately and our family photos are INCREDIBLE! With the sun setting on gorgeous NC beaches as a backdrop, she captured our giggles and hugs and family bonds. The photos are so natural and perfect. I will treasure these pictures forever!

I was unsure about taking maternity pictures and I’m so happy I did. the photos are ones we are going to treasure forever and we cannot wait to hang them in our house. We are new to the area and did not know her prior to our session but it was as if we’ve been friends with her forever due to how comfortable she made us feel the entire time. She also helped me pick mine and my husbands outfits out! Highly recommend booking with her!
